I am pleased to be a trusted supplier to the National Trust. We are proud to be involved with a large re-wilding project in North Devon.
We created a ‘tree bog’ toilet, an exciting project using natural processes to turn unwanted biological matter into plant food and compost without any hassle. The timber is all locally grown, sourced and milled and completely untreated with chemicals. The curved window was rescued from a Victorian property to give a little more character. We will be looking to install more of these in the future.
We produced multiple raptor posts which give large birds a place to rest and a perfect spot to hunt from. There are thousands of newly planted tree saplings which are very susceptible to rodent attack. By having the perches amongst the saplings will help more trees to survive and support the birds of prey.
We also created a sign in solid oak for a new mazzard orchard that I actually had the opportunity to help plant with my children over a year ago. I look forward to walking through the woodland, orchards and wildlife habitats with my children when they are adults.
I am so pleased to use my skills to support the environment. I had fantastic support from Jacob, Liam and National Trust rangers. We look forward to more projects with the National Trust soon.
"Joel is a multi-talented tradesman and has worked on several different projects in North Devon. Joel’s carpentry skills, artistic eye, and creative approach, together with his attention to the detail of the work specification, produced some impressive, high-quality results at a competitive cost. Joel always has a friendly, positive vibe, is totally reliable, conscientious, and sympathetic to the work we do here at the National Trust. He is great to work with and comes highly recommended."
